FISHING – Johnson Lake is famous for tackle busting walleyes as well as lots of catfish, fresh water drum, crappies, and loads of white bass. Other fish found in Johnson Lake are northern, black bass, bluegill, perch, strippers, and the new wiper hybrid. Professional guide service is also available at the lake.
SWIMMING – There is a fine sand beach directly in front of the cabin area with a gently sloping swimming area. The swimming area is enjoyed by hundreds of people every season. It is a great place to swim, tan in the sun, or watch children make sand castles. The swim area is marked off by floats to discourage boats from entering.
GOLF – While visiting our resort you can enjoy playing golf on one of the Midwest’s finest grass greens golf courses. Lakeside Country Club is located adjacent to the lake. There are several other courses nearby which welcome visitors to their clubs.
The Wheelhouse Bar & Grill – Enjoy your favorite cocktail with a view of the lake and feast on a selection from our fabulous menu. Upper Crust Pizza and our super Charburgers will satisfy any appetite. Or start out the day with our country fresh eggs, pancakes, and your choice of hash browns, bacon, or sausage.
CABIN RATES – Sunday-Thursday are $80 per night and Friday and Saturday are $85 per night. We require a one night non refundable deposit when making reservations plus a 2 night minimum when renting on weekends. A $10 per night pet fee will apply at all times if applicable. Check-in is 4PM / Check-out is 11AM
CABINS
All of our cabins are modern, with air conditioning and electric heat. They are equipped with electric counter-top cooking units and refrigerators. We furnish linens, bedding, soaps, and tissue. We do not supply silverware, dishes, cooking utensils, or your towels. The large modern cabins have two double beds, kitchenette, dining table and chairs, showers, and will sleep four people. There is plenty of shade and a small redwood deck right outside your door for leisure hours.
JOHNSON LAKE has a surface area of 3,000 acres and 21 miles of shoreline for boating, fishing, skiing, swimming, or just cruising the lake. Over eight hundred families have built privately owned homes and cabins on Johnson Lake, which attests to the fact it is one of the most popular and beautiful lakes in the Midwest. More than three hundred homes are occupied by year-round residents. There is a blacktop road circling the lake, giving access to the cabins and fishing areas. From Medo’s Resort there is a clear view of almost the entire lake, and you will marvel at the spectacular sunsets.
